Faculty Information

The Faculty of Education was founded on 18 June 1970, as the sixth faculty of Silpakorn University, and as the second faculty of Sanam Chandra Palace Campus. Its first acting dean was Professor M.L. Pin Malakul, The President of Silpakorn University at that time. The four inaugural undergraduate study programs were Thai Teaching, English Teaching, Geography, and History. In 1974, The Demonstration School of the Faculty of Education was set up to meet the requirement for students’ practicum and practice teaching, and also for experiment of educational innovation.

The Faculty of Education has developed for teaching and learning in many fields of education. Nowadays, the Faculty of Education provides all levels of education from early childhood education to doctoral degree programs, both regular curriculums and special curriculums. The objectives of the Faculty of Education are about to attract the excellence of teaching and learning as international standard level to be a leader for developing of human resources, researches, educational innovation, to provide for academic services for community and special projects in preserving and promoting art and culture, to provide for lifelong education for all. Last but not least is to recruit students for both good knowledge, good governance and being an academic reference of education.
